I'm planning on doing locums starting in a 2-3 months. Which states have the fastest license approval turnaround time?

"The" VA? Do you mean the Commonwealth of Virginia, or the Veteran's Administration?

I think he means the latter. If you want to work at the VA, ANY valid state license will do, regardless of the state you're practicing in. So, you could work at a VA hospital in California with a Texas medical license.

Yeah, I know. But, to work the VA, you have to be licensed SOMEWHERE, which doesn't seem to answer the OP's question.

Nowhere that requires FCVS, it seems. 7 weeks and counting for my verification just so I can apply for my state license. Starting to get nervous.

Michigan takes 2-3 weeks. Also, no detailed disclosure questions on their application like other states.

Presumably the OP is registered somewhere. Since they've posted before about residency, and other things.
But yes, the Veterans Administration, which is known as The VA, as opposed to Virginia, which is simply VA. The fratboys at that state's most popular school have yet to refer to themselves as THE University of Virginia, unlike the tools at OSU.

Indiana will expedite for a fee I believe - I just made the locums company pay for it - turned around in 3 weeks if I remember correctly
