I have a patient I inherited who had an ultrasound of some lumps at "bilateral upper extremity" at his invega sustenna injections sites. He has been on sustenna for 1.5 years, and on injections since at least 2010 comprising of prolixin dec and risperdal consta. The subcutaneous lesions measure 3.1cm length and 8mm in thickness and the other 5.6cm in length and 1.3cm in thickness.

I have stopped injections for now and am meeting with him this week. My plan is to switch to PO meds given his history of compliance and am concerned about liability even if a different injection site is selected in the future. Thoughts?
