It is time for a new fun thread. What is your fave TV show/channel if you watch tv?

I love greys anatomy
Planet earth

and watch health discovery channel a lot

I looovvve Grey's, as well as House. Even if they aren't super realistic, they're fun. 🙂

Good idea. This serves as a good distraction from the waiting (and my studying).

I religiously watch The Office and Scrubs. Other than that, I enjoy the Bravo reality/competition shows like Top Chef and Project Runway. Most of the time when "nothing's on" I watch TLC. I LOVE Jon and Kate Plus 8.

My favorites are probably: The Office, Law & Order: SVU (not the other ones), any of the TLC shows where they have LOTS of kids - 17 and counting, John and Kate Plus 8..., and Mystery Diagnosis, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends.
I used to watch Discovery Health a lot, but now I don't get that channel anymore.

I love 30 Rock and Scrubs (so much better this season!). Also United States of Tara is def my new fav 🙂

sometimes I feel like I have multiple personalities like Tara...probably as a result of this painful process of vet school apps!

I tend and seem to like shows about medical stuff on health discovery than animal planet. To be honest, animal planet emergency show I can never get into for some reason. When that is projected on tv, idk.

Fun thread!😀

HOUSE!!!! 👍 Also, Project Runway, Law & Order: SVU, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens ... Top Chef, when Padma's not being irritating!

My favorite TV show by far is Lost. I am so hooked on that show!

I'm a really big fan of watching HGTV. I'm not really sure when it happened, but I've become really into interior decorating as a result.

The Office, Scrubs, Project Runway and anything on the Discovery Channel! Plus reruns of Friends and Sex and the City!!

I love Grey's A as well... what can I say...

I have to add... DIRTY JOBS! Mike Rowe is hottness. Also, Mythbusters and Top Gear. Those are pretty much it for things I'll DVR weekly. I could watch a Planet Earth marathon for hours and hours, though.

So, I'm a huge nerd and watch all my TV by downloading it off the 'net (gotta love hulu!!!) because I don't HAVE a REAL TV, because, like I said, I'm a huge nerd...

...with that in mind, here are my faves:
The Office is definitely #1 (and I love the UK version too), House, 30 Rock, Grey's, Heroes, Dexter, Weeds, United States of Tara I just started watching and have to say I'm loving it, Big Love (will they ever put out a new season?!), I like Flight of the Conchordes too, even if most people don't, I love all Adult Swim cartoons but especially Aqua Teen Hunger Force...and my guilty pleasures are Friday Night Lights and Gossip Girl (haha I can't believe I just admitted that, but it's SO addictive). And of course I'll never turn down an old-school X-Files episode!! 😎

I second to nerdiness (made up my own word?) that x-files was the best ever. 😎

Ooooh, starlene, I used to be that nutty little kid that loved to watch the X-Files! Started watching back in season three, when I was ten... lol. I absolutely loved it. Made my dad take me to see the movie and everything. 😀

I'm still secretly in love with Fox Mulder, hahaha 😳 glad to see there's other X-'philes on here!!!

I tend to avoid the television, due to the fact that I didn't watch tv as a kid and developed no immunity to it... I turn on Animal Planet and will watch for hours.

You think you're nerdy? I've seen every single episode of every "Star Trek" series at least once, own "The X-Files" complete series, and love "Stargate". 🙄

The only shows I really keep up with these days/don't miss an episode are "The Office" and...."BATTLESTAR GALACTICA"!!! Which is amazing. "Seinfeld" reruns and Discovery/Animal Planet (of course) are always on the list when I'm bored.

I don't watch any shows regularly, but I really like watching The Office on Hulu and I catch Scrubs whenever I can. Other than that, I love almost everything on the Discovery Channel and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.

Oh man, because of Sidereel.com I watch way too much.

Let's see:

House
The Office
Family Guy
How I Met Your Mother
Heroes
Lost
Dexter
True Blood
The Big Bang Theory

Takes a ridiculous amount of time to watch them all every week but at least I can do so at my leisure due to the internet. And some aren't renewed for another season yet so that helps...

oh boy, my weakness.

Grey's
Friday Night Lights
The Bachelor
American Idol
Inside MMA
The Doctors
UFC Fights
The Biggest Loser

thank goodness for TiVo!

Supernatural! It is my television weakness. But I also like many of Animal Planet, Discovery, HGTV, and Food Network's shows.

My favorite TV show for years has been Scrubs. I have every season and I've watched them all at least four times or more. Yet, since Scrubs will most likely be ending I also found that Chuck is a really awesome show. It makes me laugh every week. Besides comedies though, I also really like to watch Stargate SG-1, and I just started Battlestar Galactica, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

And just as a side note. I recently found out that one of the news interns that appeared on Scrubs over the past few weeks is actually from my hometown. His dad is still a practicing physician there. It's always great to see people that make it big out of my mud puddle of a town.

I LOVE House. I like Scrubs too, but House would totally own Dr. Cox, as much as I love them both. Hugh Laurie=sex god, not gonna lie! 😍 Also a huge, huge fan of Lost and almost anything on National Geographic Channel or Animal Planet. And here's my big inner geek showing big time, but they are re-running X-Men: the Animated Series (from like the middle 90s) on the Disney Channel. I DVR them and watch like 5 episodes in one sitting. I think they are going to do the same with Batman: the Animated Series, which is so awesome. Gotta love it!

AHA! I was reading through the thread hoping someone would mention "Dexter." I love this show!!! If you haven't seen it, well, it's ok because I hadn't even heard of it until a couple of months ago. I had to catch up on the first two seasons on DVD.

Anyways, I like House, The Amazing Race, Planet Earth, and most things with Gordon Ramsay (best show is U.K.'s "The F Word)...

Ack! I forgot my favorite - Ace of Cakes on the Food Channel. And of course, Hell's Kitchen!

I must be one of those nerds 😀

I love both Stargates(I own all 10 seasons of SG1!), StarTrek(all), Battlestar Galactica, X-Files, actually, I love pretty much all great SciFi LOL.

I also like watching most shows on The History Channel, Discovery Channel, TBS, TLC, Comedy Central, basketball(college) and football.

I don't have a tv right now, haven't for about 6 months, so all my watching is online or at the bar where I work.

I'm still secretly in love with Fox Mulder, hahaha 😳 glad to see there's other X-'philes on here!!!

Hey, that Scully/Mulder sexual tension has yet to be matched as far as I'm concerned. Not that I really noticed that at age ten, but I figured out eventually you know. 😉

David Duchovny is admittedly pretty attractive... havn't followed much of his newer stuff. BUT, his Pedigree commercials make me cry. That's probably just because I'm a weenie about that stuff.

I started to watch Breaking Bad at one point last year but I think I missed the entire last half of the series! Anyone else watch that?

I felt the same way about David Duchovny until he entered a program for sexual addiction last year 😱 and is now either separated or divorced from his wife

Reading over the thread, I would definitely have to amend my first post by seconding MythBusters and Dirty Jobs (I got to meet Mike Rowe a few weeks ago! 😍), as well as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.

I'm surprised no one has said it so far -- unless I missed it -- but I also try to catch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report when I can. And I'm hopefully adding Important Things With Demetri Martin, if the show ends up not sucking. I liked most of the first episode, but it can potentially go either way. I love Demetri Martin's stand-up. Totally worth a few minutes on YouTube if you're not familiar with him.

I order showtime for 3 months a year just so I can watch Dexter.

Other than that, I watch Mythbusters, Its Me or The Dog (I think I have a secret crush on Victoria), anything that's on Discovery about dinosaurs, Family Guy, Robot Chicken and Metalocalypse.

I always always always watch Burn Notice on USA. I love that show. And last week's episode was particularly good.

I also these days am keeping up with Heroes and Scrubs, but we don't have actual cable, so we watch stuff through Netflix and online for networks that post their episodes on their websites.

Back when I had cable, I pretty much loved any reality show on Bravo. I would get totally sucked in...Top Chef, Project Runway (sometimes), Workout, The Real Housewives...oh, it's seriously pathetic. I guess I like watching train wrecks. 😀

Oh!!! Good job skillet!!! Great adds!

My husband got to meet one of the guys from MythBusters (Jamie maybe? I don't really know their names...), he was totally excited.

And I can't believe I forgot The Daily Show and Colbert Report! I guess I don't watch them as obsessively-- did anyone catch the hilarious election night special where Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert got back together?? Hilarious.

One more note-- I Love the recurring Saturday Night Live skit called "REALLY?! With Seth and Amy" (although I guess now it's just with Seth?) it's one of the funniest few minutes on TV, IMO... They have the clips on hulu if anyone wants to check it out, it pretty much sums up the way I feel about life, all the time.

Ack my deaf dog is chasing the cat, gotta go!

My FAV's

Grey's
Brothers and Sisters
Private Practice (By the way the cross over b/t Greys and Private Practice was wonderful!)
Young and the Restless
I LOVE FOXNEWS and Nancy Grace

How did I ever live without TiVo?

House.

Other than that, during football season Saturdays, Sundays and Monday nights are occupied with football. From the end of that to the end of the Stanley Cup playoffs, I'll watch any hockey game that's on. The summer sucks for sports though. 🙁

House before they added all those extra doctors
Project Runway
Top Chef
What Not to Wear
Designers' Challenge
Divine Design
Unsolved Mysteries of the ER
MSNBC & CNN

Oh Veganchick I love Unsolved Mysteries of the ER! WOW they have some crazy stuff up there huh?

What is Unsolved Mysteries of the ER about? What channel? Sounds intriguing.

Chuck and Flight of the Conchords!!

I love them both - they're just so fun.

I love both Stargates(I own all 10 seasons of SG1!), StarTrek(all), Battlestar Galactica, X-Files, actually, I love pretty much all great SciFi LOL.

We are twins. I love that you made this distinction, because, as I tell everyone, there is good and bad sci-fi, and I like the good stuff. 😉

Heroes, battlestar, lost, NCIS, burn notice, trust me, a couple others I catch when I can.

However, the best show ever made on the face of this planet is rescue me. I can't live without it lol.

Umm... Cash Cab, anyone? Ben Bailey is strangely sexy and hilarious! I also strongly agree with Arrested Development and Flight of the Conchords! Scrubs and The Office are shows I can't miss, along with Heroes and Prison Break. I watch entirely too much TV apparently... It's a wonder I have time to do anything else. I also love Project Runway and anything on HGTV. Home design is totally my thing. As well as any Samantha Brown show on Travel Channel! Did anyone watch ROME on HBO a few years back? Great show! 😀

And, oh my god! Did anyone ever watch Three Sheets or Getting Abroad before the MOJO network shut down? THOSE WERE THE BEST!

It is on TLC (I think). They show cases that are kind of off the beaten path and weird (although they generally figure them out by the end). They do about 3 cases per show through reenactments and interviews with the actual doctors and nurses. It's really cool but I don't think it is still being produced - I think we are stuck with reruns.

Oldies but Goodies:
Firefly
Buffy
Angel
Reaper
Dead Like Me
Pushing Daisies
Lost (loved 1st few seasons, then completely lost interest. Complete 180.)

Watch religiously:
Supernatural
Bones
Burn Notice
Monk
Psych

Will Watch if Have Cable Access:
Mythbusters
Man Vs. Wild
Dirty Jobs

I can't believe no one's mentioned arrested development! Still my all-time favorite. In the absence of it, though (aside from the DVDs) I'm also completely addicted to the office and lost. 🙂
All of the episodes are also on Hulu for free. 🙂
