ER in its prime was probably the most popular. I love House, but I just dont see why non-medical folks like it. They do have some weird diagnosis, maybe thats the catch for it.

I did like ER back in the day... but havent watched in yrs.. I dont like house either too silly/******ed. They have the most ridiculous cases ever..

...one time they did a retinal biopsy...thats badass in my books.

I love ER, although I don't think it is as good as it once was. I also like Grey's Anatomy.

1-3. Scrubs. The greatest thing on tv (other then Lost)
4. ER Was great. Still good enough I watch usually
5. House: If you let the outrageous cases and the residents who know and do all scare you away then you miss the point. Hugh Laurie as a bitter sarcastic doc provides some real entertainment
6. Doogie Howser MD 'nuff said!
7-?. All the rest.
P.S. what ever the total number of medical shows that that question mark represents, Grey's Anatomy belongs there!

ER used to be my favorite, but now with most of the good characters gone... i'm voting for HOUSE. I LOVE Hugh Laurie... he's hysterical. This is probably pretty dorky, but my roommate and I regularly watch it on TV and w/ Netflix and try to figure out the diagnosis, or at least make sense of the differential... but yeah, I also don't see how a non-medical person could really like it - it's so technical! I guess if you just ignored all the medical stuff and focused on the drama...

Oh, and I have to say, that episode they had with the woman w/ Wilson's disease... I will NEVER forget that now. 😀 <-- dork

Quid 🙂

1-Scrubs

2- House That guy is my hero.

I love House too. Especially the fact that they make the wrong diagnosis @ least 5 times (& institute the wrong, potentially life-threatening, treatment each time) until the last 5-10 mins. of the episode. Hugh says the things all of us want to say @ times. I want to be a resident on that service; just sit around and wait for the rare case to pop in.

Scrubs is probably my favorite. My wife doesn't get the humor sometimes, so it makes for viscious remote control fights.

Anyone else think that Neila (sp?) on ER is getting hotter every season?

#1. Emergency! - The second season is out soon on DVD. The BEST show (medical or otherwise) ever!

#2. Scrubs

LOL, Emergency. Roy and Johnny running from Catalina Island (26 miles across the sea) to Lancaster (140 miles away in the desert), all in the same shift.

You got to love it.

Trapper John MD, you guys are all probably too young to remember that, show, also Quincy, and MASH. But ER was good in the beginning with clooney and all those guys, now i dont watch. Scrubs is the most funny. Therest havent watched.
oh yes trauma er on discovery is good.

1. Scrubs is funny---I own seasons 1 & 2
2. ER was good in the first few seasons, before it become less about the ER and more about the relationships (it also lost some medical accuracy)
3. House is an awful show---it is not medically accurate, and the man disgusts me
4. Grey's was good---until it became a sex romp (in reality most attendings/residents are married)
5. Trauma----it's real life---nothing fake about it

Never said it was the most realistic show, just the best!

ER!

btw, this would have made a good poll!

My bad, you're right this would have been a good poll, but I'm relatively new to posting stuff, and didnt see a fast way to find where it was located. Also, I figured most people would pick something not from the list I could come up with on the top of my head.

Yeah, I forgot about becker, for some reason I always catch myself sticking to it when flipping through channels.

I also heard Emergency! was pretty good, I was at Best Buy the other day and this guy was trying to convince his wife to let him buy the season since it was his favorite show ever. Sitting there eavesdropping on the conversation the final decision was a no, and ended up something their daughter wanted was bought....but i'm sure he'll come back later and buy it right?

so a quick count gives House a pretty good on popularity, and even though I like the show it is a little less believable (neurologist doing retinal biopsies hahahahhaha)...

ER's Nila does seem to be looking hotter each season, remember Bend it like Beckham...she didn't seem that hot then, but then again she was a minor haha 🙂

Actually, their EMS was right on. If you "diss" on aspects like where they're working, you've missed the point. You can't go wrong with the Ward-LaFrance engine and the Dodge Utility body - seriously!

Yeah! Best! Can't wait for the second season!

👍 Fond memories of watching that show as a little tyke with my rents.

1. M.A.S.H.

There should really be no discussion about this. MASH is the only medical show that can even be mentioned in the same sentence with Seinfeld, Cheers and other nonmedical shows.

The Critical hour and real impact:Stories of Survival are also excellent shows, but are on discovery health channel (if you get it). Trauma life in the ER was great, but everytime it comes on it is the same episode from 1999 at Vandy! I guess they don't film it anymore

Is it possible to get these seasons on DVD or VHS? I would love to get my hands on these!

ok, looks like M.A.S.H. is starting to get some positive points....this is just turning out to be a popularity contest, sheesh. oh wait thats what it is....

This may date me a bit but St. Elswhere was a pretty good show in its day.

My vote goes for Nip/ Tuck

Eww! You can't be serious.

Anyway, my vote has to be.. well actually, I guess my vote is obvious (see icon)

i cant believe no one has mentioned Dr. 90210 on E! ... i dont have cable, but i catch all the re-runs when i go home...robert rey is hot 😉

(if i hadnt loved EM so much, i was going to do plastics, so maybe that explains my fascination with beauty and the show 🙂 )

St. Elsewhere--good plots, realistic characters and personalities.
Chicago Hope--less touted contemporary of ER, good drama and characters with stereotypical (and true) personality types. Mandy Patinkin as the neurotic and gifted surgeon, Mark Harmon as the former athlete/ortho boy.
