Fax or mail ROL?

I read that we can fax our rank lists in--do you think it's a good idea or safer to just mail it?? Faxing's definitely easier and cheaper though--anyone tried it yet?

Just overnight mail your package. Its safe, quick, although expensive. I did mine last monday and I got a confirmation from SFmatch they received it on Wednesday. Done and Done!

I overnighted mine this morning. Did anyone else experience a raging OCD exacerbation immediately prior? Checking the list, confirming the numbers...I almost started putting my hands on stovetops.

i overnighted too. sfm sends an e-mail confirmation the next day. i reread that list 14 times. 5 of which were at the post office. i never thought i was capable of acting out like that. any way. good luck everyone.

i agree. why blow $13 on overnight mail. and regular mail (37 cents) is very reliable too.

To each their own. Without insulting Alexander Bain or Giovanni Caselli, fax machines suck!!! I know these two are now rolling over in their graves. 😉 I'd rather depend on Ben Franklin's good old USPS. 😀

Hehe. Well, whatever your preferred method -- usps, faximile, telegraph, pony express -- best of luck to everyone in making the list and the upcoming match. SFmatch emailed confirmation today, including confirmation of my rank order of each program.

heh, everytime i see another post added to this absurd thread it makes me chuckle. seems to be just an indicator of how anxious everyone is, and eager to find community to share with...

for the record, i mailed my list from boston yesterday at 5pm, and got my ist e-mailed to me from sf match this afternoon, not bad.

I have the solution to this thread's question, by the way. I have rented a WWI-style bi-plane, with which I will skywritie my ROL over dowtown SF.

Of course, if it rains, I'll have to scramble.

I finally sent my rank list in.....gave in and just spent the $14 for express mail....I'm just glad it's done and there ain't nothing I can do now!

i called sfmatch to confirm delivery of my rank list--the tracking number says they got it but it's still up in their mail room and they haven't processed it--anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that they're not going to be accepting mail on monday, b/c of the holiday--so if you're express mailing it today, they won't be getting it until tuesday (they don't accept weekend deliveries). they will be accepting faxes on monday, so better fax it--plus, you can fax all weekend, although nothing will be processed until monday. call and double check what the best option is though. what an archaic system. my new personal goal is to overhaul the whole damn cas system and make it online! 🙄

I faxed the list last night at 10 pm and got it confirmed this afternoon.
