The schools that i applied to got my application about a month ago...

I just took my DAT yesterday and I know it takes about 2 weeks for the schools to get the scores...

Does anyone think its a good idea to fax the unofficial scores until the official scores arrive? Someone posted that this would speed up the application process. I wonder if adcoms would get annoyed and interpret it as trying to put the foot in the door too early?

Thanks
Mike

I think it's a good idea to fax scores. I don't think they will get annoyed. If they do, you won't be pissing off the decision makers anyhow.

I think fax your scores in will hurry up the process of your application

So fax away.

It probably won't hurt you to fax them, but it probably won't help either. I forgot to send my scores to Columbia, so there has been a delay in them processing my app. I called them to see if my app was complete, and they said they were waiting on my DAT score report. I asked if I could fax it, and the guy said yes. I then asked if that would speed things up, and he said, no, we don't make interview invites without the official score report. I'm not sure if Columbia is the only school that doesn't do anything until they have the official scores, but I think that it is probably the norm at many D-schools.

I did get some interview invites based on my faxed scores. 😀
