Any one with prior experience using FCVS? Please comment.

Thank you for your reply. I might end up applying to several states at once. Will it be helpful in that scenario?

I used FCVS back in 2010 and it definitely didn't speed up the process then. I had hoped that it might be semi-useful now applying in a different state and that was not the case- it was expensive to have them send the documents to the new state board, I still needed to get lots of documentation from other sources (like hospitals where I've had privileges), and FCVS still took longer than anyone else. FCVS took longer than other state medical boards, and for reasons that make no sense to me, FCVS contacted all of my training programs and the USMLE to confirm my scores/graduation status, even though I had taken the tests/graduated by the time I filed with FCVS in 2010.

Big waste of money.

In general, FCVS is only useful if you're applying in a state that requires it. Otherwise, based on most people's experiences (and you could just do a search here for the dozens of FCVS related threads), it mostly seems to slow things down and add another layer of complexity and incompetence to an already unnecessarily complicated process.

Colossal waste of time and money for me. In addition, they credentialed me as a Vascular Surgeon even though that's not my specialty and refused to change it or refund my money. Numerous letters and phone calls on my end were to no avail; they were ignored. God help those in states required to use it.

That sucks.
It took me a few weeks to get everything together. I've now applied for 2 licenses with it. I received my state license within a month of applying and didn't have to worry about compiling anything. Simply paid and told them where to send it, and it happened. Got my license within a month of everything being submitted.

It was much easier for the second time around, I will admit.

Required in SC. They've had everything since early April and still dragging on as I'm trying to get my permanent license as a PGY2. What's the latest? Oh, we need a copy of your divorce decree to document your name change...in 2002. Everything extra incurs an extra fee. When I first completed the application ($495) it would not let me enter both COMLEX and USMLE scores. 8 or 9 weeks later, they want USMLE scores...for an additional $79.
I'm still waiting.

It's a pain when you are required to use it. But....... Since I am now working on my 7th state license it's there and makes subsequent licenses applications super fast. Once you are complete all you have to do is update and click one button to send to the state board.
