So I got an email today from Tufts saying they want 60 Buckeroonies in order to look at my application..

But I just want to go to USC so I want to either not pay or get a fee reducation, what do I do?

I applied for the fee reduction for AADSAS primaries and got some back but I want to do the same thing for secondaries as well

anyone know how to do it?????????????😕😕:confusedconfused::idea::idea::idea::idea::idea:

if you just want to go to USC then why did you apply to Tufts?
Especially if you get an interview and they ask so why Tufts?

dont know about fee reductions for secondarys.

tufts doesn't offer secondary app fee waivers. i checked with them yesterday.

My opinion on this has always been if you cannot afford to apply, you certainly cannot afford to attend.

Yes, people can get student loans upon being accepted, but if they are not resourceful enough to pay for the applications (savings, family members, budgeting, etc.) generally speaking they cannot afford to attend.

You do realize an acceptance is by no means an automatic student loan. Banks typically ask for co-signers, and if your situation and/or surrounding circle of support (family, friends) cannot put together enough money to apply chances are you will not be able to afford to attend.

An unfortunate reality, but the reality none the less.

As a sidenote, to the OP, if you qualify for fee reductions, why on earth do you wish to attend USC - the most expensive dental shool?

because it's close to home and I hate to be in a place for 4 years and not know anyone...

It's so nice to be in Southern California..

Unless you've been convicted of a drug related crime, or have some serious problems with your credit history you can fund your enitre dental education with Stafford and Grad Plus loans, which don't require any sort of co-signer or additional effort besides filling out a FAFSA.

My mistake. I am not actually getting loans (parents funding everything) so didn't realize that. Banks and private loans certainly will ask for a co-signer though, but it sounds like there is this Stafford/GradPlus route.

Dude, can your parents pay my loans from Undergrad and dental school?

I want a private office ready for me after I graduate and a brand new BMW M5 ready for me....can you hook me up man?

Come on....😎

Come on, don't give her a hard time just because she's fortunate enough to be in a situation where her parents can afford to pay for her education.

I know I wish I could be in a situation like that, and I certainly wouldn't want people hasseling me about it. 😉

The deal was that I paid for my undergrad and if I got into dental school my folks would pay for that. I always saw doing really well in undergrad as my way to get an awesome (parental) scholarship. I am glad that I did too, because I learned a lot about managing my time with school and p/t work, working hard in the summer at my job, and being able to network to find high paying summer jobs.

The Lotus123/Aimsee chick on the other hand just came across as a rich spoiled desi.

Go easy on senorita pot there, Ms. Kettle.

How did you go about with the AADSAS fee reduction?
