I've spent time traveling (throughout europe and 6 months in africa) and have huge interest in global medicine. what do you think about my list? i know my numerical stats are on the lower end, but my experiences are probably my strength.

you certainly do have great EC's...School list looks solid. i would watch out cuz california schools tend to not be very OOS friendly...also I would take out Upenn unless it is your dream school and your hoping for some luck to go your way. also I suggest getting some non-clinical volunteer work and giving back to the community a little.

appreciate it. definitely interest in penn's approach/curriculum. i have some ties there. i'm sort of an off-the-wall applicant and i think they would be supportive of my non-traditional background.

any other recommendations for reasonable md programs? specifically with focus on global health?

im not too knowledgable about programs that focus on global health. i'd look at some OOS friendly schools. i know uconn is like 85% instate. i go to undergrad there and am applying but i hate that it is so OOS unfriendly. i'm not sure what state your from but i would definitely do your state school. schools like rush, rosalind franklin, tufts, vcu, temple, vermont, wake forest may be good for ya...also if you wanna go west coast (not sure if you already live there) but I know university of arizona is very OOS friendly
