I'm becoming more antsy by the day while preparing to get ready for this coming cycle. Everything seems to be coming along: PS, LOR, finishing up classes but... I haven't taken the MCAT.

MCAT is in May and I'm nervous and inconsistent with my performance on practice exams. Is there still time to fix this? I am typically a fast learner, but I think my anxiety is impeding my ability to learn and retain.

I just wanted to know what my choices are, if I don't do well on the May MCAT? Is the June MCAT an option or would, if able, a June MCAT be too late into the cycle?

Rule 1: Take a Breath.

Your options are limited as there seems to be much more competition for MCAT seats/dates this season so you may not be able to get another slot. You should investigate this.

However, if you are still scoring inconsistently at this late date you really have to ask are you ready. Having your head in the game on MCAT day is vital as nervousness leads to fear, panic and bad performance. If your confidence is shaky your performance will be as well

I figured it would be very hard to find another seat, but if I don't feel good about this one, and a June seat opens up, will that push me too late into the cycle if I want to retake it? I might have had more than the usual amount of coffee today, lol. I took several deep breaths and apologize for rash expressiveness.
