As others have posted on here before, I feel real defeated after taking the DAT today. I have been using Kaplan and topscore the last several months and was doing very well on those, yet only managed to get a total score of 17. I knew that Kaplan wasnt adequate enough for the PAT section and found other sources but my score on the other sections was a big surprise. I have read what others have studied from in addition to these sources, but I never felt underprepaired when I was taking the exam. I guess what I am looking for from here is some sort of encouragement from those that have managed to improve their scores when retaking the test.

Thanks

how is your gpa? and how many hours a day did you study?
my zoology class didn't cover mammal physiology and anatomy, and my general biology didn't cover everything i needed to know. i had to take human anatomy and physiology. others had to take cell biology and ecology to help them do good in the bio section. if you understand all the concepts and memorize everything then you will do good. try to aim for a score of 25, incase if you forget few things you will end up with a score way higher than 17.

To answer your question issa, cum GPA is 3.6 and science is about that...studied about 3-4 hrs three times a week jan-may, then about 5-6 a day since then. may sound like a lot and perhaps I overprepaired. Thanks for the feedback though

I am retaking the DAT, studied about 1 month first time, I only have less than 2 weeks left for my 2nd DAT, hopefully I can get 20+ this time. 👍
