So I will apply with a 3.95 cGPA and 3.95 scienceGPA

-MCAT: taking soon but I expect a 32+ based on practices

-Tons of research (2yr), presentations, 10k+ in grant awards, 1st author pub on the way etc.

-Lots of clinical volunteering, sat w/ dying patients who had no one to care for them.

-Shadowing and all that jazz

-Unique hobbies

-2 yrs of tutoring Orgo, gen chem, bio....mentored students for a year

-Prez of pre medical club

Bla bla bla....good app overall right?

I just have one concern.... I had to take an Audit in physics 2 this week. I can explain it if they ask me and I feel an audit looks a little better than a W, but I am worried since Physics 2 is a pre-req and I will be applying without a grade in it...I should still try and apply right? I mean they won't care as long as I take it and get a good grade before I graduate right?

As long as you have it done by the time you matriculate, your money.

I'm glad you went for the audit instead of completely withdrawing, considering the upcoming MCAT. Yes, your cGPA is great, and I don't blame you for not wanting to ruin it. I think you'll be fine as long as you complete the class before matriculation, considering how good the rest of your record is. (I'm assuming you don't have a mass of Ws on your transcript.)

Don't let yourself get too nervous! Can you take it summer session and update AMCAS with your Physics II grade before interviews really get rolling? Then it won't weigh on you during the season.

Yeah- audit seemed much better.

Never had a single W or Audit...so I figure while is certainly not optimal it should not kill me : )

I wish they had it offered then!! I agree- this would be the best thing to do but I can't 🙁

I feel I can explain it pretty well and also having such a high GPA will hopefully give them confidence that I can pass the class if they accept me

I really don't think it will affect your chances - it's just psychological for you, KWIM? Hang in there - you're a good candidate.
