PCAT score sucks, i asked 14 schools i applied to, none of them said i have a chance 🙁 OMG, I HATE PCAT!!i thought i knew the answers but turn out i got 7%....I AM HOPELESS...my GPA is 3.8 high but PCAT low, oh well 🙁...HOPEULESS 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

With a 3.8, I would just apply to only schools that do not require the PCAT. There are several and assuming your app is strong in terms of volunteer, extra-curriculars and work experience as well, you should not have a problem getting in.

Don't give up. Just apply to schools without the PCAT. There are tons of good schools that dont require. i didn't take it cuz i'm tired of those damn entrance tests...MCAT was bad as is....good luck.

In regards to the list RLK posted, I don't think it is entirely accurate because if you look at that list you will see that Purdue is listed as a school that does not require the PCAT when in fact it does. I think that some of the schools on the "NO PCAT" list are there because they have an auto-advancement type program where those students aren't required to take the PCAT before they enter the professional phase of the program. That's the only thing I could think of because there are schools on there that do require the PCAT such as Purdue and Ohio Northern (P1 Transfer students).

u have a gpa of 3.8 but u only got a 7% on the pcats? Hows that possible? You sure u didnt mark in the wrong bubbles on the answer sheet or something? But dont worry its not end of the world. Just retake the pcats and im sure u will drastically improve next time around.

Purdue does not require the PCAT. I am applying there next year and have been in contact with them.

buck up. sh#% happens.

look at me for example, i got a 99 on pcat, got a 3.9 gpa and got into pharmacy school and then decided I had made a mistake and should have finished up my pre-vet animal science degree. i wasnt expecting to get into pharmacy school...it just became a part time hobby to see if i could that got out of control 🙄

I figured that while i am more than acadmically qualified the expectations on the students were not what i wanted. i felt like i was in a business school for some strange reason and it absolutely gave me the heebee jeebees. plus i have deep emotional exhaustion from the past few years cause I have been through some hard times and i think im so burnt out that i cant handle it

but u cant sit and cry over shiznit. I'm getting back on the horse and going to get my bachelors degree.

i suggest u spend osme time thinking about why what is going on in ur life is going on. DONT ignore the signs. ifits what u want more than anything by all means go for it..but I tell ya if i had happened to get a 7 instead of a 99 percent on the PCAT after 2 or 3 weeks of studying i would not have taken the test again. it did not mean much to me.

maybe you are different..if you wnat pharmacy school you will be driven to repeat the exam. I ignored that sign ..the sign was that i knew if i had done poorly i would not have repeated it. It meant i was not entirely serious.

if you are serious you will find a way to beat the tar out of the pcat. so go for it.

😀 😀 Because you didn't study hard enough. You studied only 3 hours a day for 2 weeks. It was not enough 😀 You need to try harder baby

meh it can be done in two or three weeks. i studied for it during the end of christmas break and got 99 .

my point was u can get 99 percentile on pcat and STILL come out screwedish so..u know ...yeah..dont beat yourself up

Why don't you just take the PCAT again? You got until October or November for the next PCAT so you plenty of time to prepare for it. It's not difficult to really improve your score. I had a 55 composite on the November and boosted that up to 83 on the January.
