Feeling sad that I can't afford to go to Columbia or Penn. I mean, how do the people who go there finance it?

Have you considered doing HPSP? If you really want to go to one of those expensive schools, I would seriously consider it.

Harvard doesn't give merit based scholarships either, and their need based scholarships are all loans as well. How would you finance Harvard?

No one can afford it right now. Your future hypothetical self is supposed to be able to afford it.

You have to just be willing to take on the loans or do the HPSP with the Army, Navy, or Air Force (as mentioned above).
