  1. Pre-Dental
So I got my orgo 2 grade and got a C-.... it's my 2nd C on my transcript, my other one being a C+ in physics 2. Do you all think I should re-take it? I calculated my science GPA before it and it was a 3.08, so I assume its like a 2.9 something now.

Do you guys think dental school is even in reach for me? I have a 3.3, and am taking the DAT sometime late June or July and I'm a junior about to be a senior in college... I'm feeling so hopeless....

You will need to retake Ochem 2.

Make sure you get an A and then study hard for the DAT. Don't take it until you are ready and kill it.

Retake for sure most schools require a C or better in all prerequisite classes some dental school require a B or better

you know what's annoying? i did decently well in all my pre-recs except for analytical physics 1 and 2 which i got a C+ and a C- in. MY school REFUSES to let you retake classes unless you got a D or less in it!!! i wish i would have failed the classes on purpose so now I could retake them 🙁

but as for you, if you have the option to re-take i definitely think you should

I got into Dental School with 2 C's so yes it is possible for you to still go to dental school. Worse case scenerio you may have to take a year off and retake some of your science classes in order to bring up your science GPA. There is also that little thing called the DAT, and if you do really really well on that it drastically increases your chances of getting accepted by a dental school. Good luck.

Don't give up hope! I know what you're going through, I've got to say that I did horrible in Ochem - a C, a D, and a C on the retake - this after A's in Gchem, and although I was devastated about it at the time, I got into dental school just fine. I also had a handful of C's in other classes, and my sGPA was around 3.01. Remember that the DAT is the great equalizer, and putting in the hard work in and doing well on it can really make up for grades that might not be your best work. It might be a challenge, but there's no reason to give up now if it's what you really want to do.

Good luck!

no worries, I got a WF, F, 2C+s, and 2 B-. Still made it to my top choice:laugh: Don't let the little things beat you down!! It's not the end of the world.
