That's something I experienced as well. In the end, I remember going through my first section and thinking "omg, I was panicking over this?"

I definitely kept thinking the real thing would be way harder than the practice exams when in fact it was quite the opposite way around.

I do think my confidence is what is going to mess me up. I'm going to try and relax! Btw, if i'm getting around 65% on the section bank, is that rather low? I know the section bank is the hardest of the hard. I got 80% for psych though. But not so well for C/P and B/B

80% on the section bank is good! 65% is pretty decent--I'd definitely figure out what was tripping me up (question type/style, pathways, unexpected content, etc) and hit that hard. If it's question style that's throwing you, just being aware of it and/or using the highlight function for key words might help. For example, I figured out that I struggled with the I/II/III questions and in order to fix it I needed to highlight the key word in the question stem (whether "agree" or "except"), and then highlight the roman numeral answers that applied. It sounds simple but it helped me.

If you haven't used Khan Academy at all, it might be able to help on some tricky C/P and B/B topics--I took a year of biochem and never really got enzyme kinetics until I watched in on KA. Plus it's useful when you feel like you can't possibly read another word from a book. In my opinion KA had good examples of how concepts apply to problems/systems even within their videos.

Okay skipped through a lot of the words here but read your posts. I think the percentages you're scoring are good enough for what you're shooting for. Many of these tests (including AAMC FL) are still not perfect predictors of how you will truly do. If you look across these forums you'll see very wide deviations, however generally the AAMC FL is a close indicator. If you had just missed a few topics you had not yet reviewed then I think you'll be fine. Take the test.

Many of the ones I missed were so random! Names i've never heard in orgo or biochem. I'm confident though because I went through the MCAT thread and people are getting 40-50% and getting 127/128 on the C/P section.

Thank you! I feel more confident after doing decent on my section bank.

I was scoring around 60% on all of the EK exams, and the highest practice test I had was a 505 (AAMC Scored). I ended up scoring a 509 (82 percentile) on the real deal. You just have to go into the exam calm, and confident. You got this!

Wow that's great! Congratulations🙂) How did you do on the section bank and the unscored? And my goal is to work on my confidence this next week lol

Lola222, don't forget that they also curve the exam. So it's sort of impossible to know how you did...unless you just guessed on half of the questions

I got 59/81/76/75 percent on the sample test, and the section banks were around 60-70%.
