Does anyone know what is the best cleaner for the white plastic parts of a (white) macbook?
Thanks

I use a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol on a cloth. It's probably not a good idea, but it gets a little cleaner.

depends what you're trying to clean off it... really it does... need more info.

what you can use without damaging the macbook can range from tap water to isopropyl alcohol, but each solution has it's own properties that can remove crap, depending on what it is.

iLounge.com has some good stuff you can look at with reviews.

hope that helps.

The apple store recommends that you use "Mr. Clean Magic Eraser" with very little water. I use it on my black macbook and it works wonderful. Remember very little water.

Also.....a lens cloth works great with getting some of the marks off too.

like dissolves like; stick the bad boy in benzene and take it down to the metal!
Disclaimer: don't do this.

I don't recommend alcohol, the apple store sells iPod polish, which is basically a very light rubbing compound. I imagine the magic eraser would be similar, but I'd be afraid it would takeoff the shine. The safest bet is a cloth, slightly damp.

thanks for the info, actually after some research on the apple site that was recommended, i found that apple will replace the palmrest piece on certain macs that stain. i guess from now on i'll keep it cleaner. for those that are interested i bought mine last summer.

the eyeglass cleaner stuff is good. use a microfiber cloth. $2 for both at wally world.
