fellow obsessive interview checkers?

i had a problem with my LORs so my apps were just complete within the last week or so at most places. i just got my first interview invite at U Chicago via email on Tuesday, and now i am obsessed with checking my email to see if anyone else wants to meet me. It is out of control, in those 2 seconds before my inbox pops up, i get so excited! i am out of control, checking my email on the hour, i just want to know if i have any partners in crime out there

oh dear

basically, i leave outlook open all day long while i am at work. and so every time my little new email icon pops up, my heart races and i stop everything i'm doing to click over and see if there's anything from a medical school. of course, there never is.
now that is pathetic. 🙂


i wish schools sent all interview invites through regular mail. then this intense excitement and disappointment would only be limited to a brief period of time, once a day.

i just moved so am hoping mail doesn't get lost!
also, i'm still a little worried about hotmail....
i swear, only a bunch of premeds could get through such a crazy process that makes you jump through so many hoops.

you guys think you're obsessive...first thing i do is wake up to check my email and then i check my email every half hour at least after that for the whole day...in between the disappointing "no new email" sign...i log on to SDN to see if anyone posted anything new...
