All of them are pretty competitive, with the exception of CT and some of the surgical critical care fellowships. Currently the hottest field is plastics.
What helps a resident most in landing a good surg onc position? Absite scores, step I/II/III scores, research, connections, interview, etc.? I'm assuming as with all things it's a mix, but which are key? There aren't many surg onc spots out there ... and I'm not interested in really many other fellowships after g-surg.
