Feralis vs cliffs.. Are both needed?

Hey everyone,

This is actually my first post in a forum ever lol. Okay, So I just started studying for the DATs. I read the first chapter of cliffs and then saw that feralis is much more condensed and straight forward (like how I would take notes on cliffs).

Do I need to do both cliffs and feralis or can I focus on Feralis and look at cliffs as a supporting source of info. My bio is very rusty ( took gen 1/2 3 years ago) so not sure if I should spend more time understanding cliffs or just reading feralis.

I read Cliff very carefully first and made my own notes. Then I went though my notes before reading Feralis. I found Feralis had lots of information that were not on Cliff. But it is crucial that you remember everything from Cliff first.

Would you say I should memorize all details (like every little thing) or understand the main topics and important parts of each section

I would read the chapter in Cliff's first to get an understanding of the material, then use the notes for the purpose of memorization.

Bio section can be very tricky... I would recommend memorize as much as you can and do many practice questions. Good luck!

I'm currently preparing for the exam and I find writing out ur own notes in ur own words is very useful. I never have been a fan of using the notes of others. I would stick to Cliff . That's just my opinion. Keep in mind I haven't taken the exam yet so I'm not s expert or anything. Best of luck.
