Which of the following is a true distinction between fermentation and cellular respiration?

Correct Answer:
NADH is oxidized by the electron transport chain in respiration only.

I thought NADH was oxidized in fermentation, when it gives its H to pyruvate to form lactic acid and ethanol?

Yes, but NADH is not oxidized by the ETC in fermentation. Would that be the stickler?
