Anybody interviewed, accepted, about to apply ? Any news about MCO 🙂

I interviewed on the first day.... ummm prolly about two weeks ago. The interview was very laid back and they made me feel really comfortable. I havent heard back from them yet, they said since I was one of the first that it would prolly be 2-3 weeks, but I am pretty confident

Do you know what is the average of GPA/OAT students they interview?
I mean, you're probably a 3.5+ right? 😳

since you interviewed on the first day, did you apply under the Early Decision Program at MCO, or apply through regular admissions? Also, what did they ask you during your interview? I will be applying to MCO next year. Thanks!

They have accepted 2 people so far...30-something seats left, so thats good.

Oh wow... I am one one those two people then. I was accepted about a week ago

They asked me a lot of general questions... why optometry.. where do I see my self in 5 years.. etc. I cant remember any specific questions to tell you the truth mainly becaise the interview actually felt more like a conversation. It was really layed back.

On the website it say that you will be asked to do a writing sample during the interview. Is this true? That would suck if its true 🙁

This is true. But don't worry, Its not hard at all. They let you pick from 4 questions. Basically, you just have to argue and/or support a particular view point.

I have an interview on Jan-10-07 at MCO and I was wondering if you guys that have had an interview this year could tell me the topics for the questions and also a few interview questions to be prepaired for.

I would really appreciate it.
