1) I have taken my MCAT before, but I retook it back in June. Scores are not yet released. How do I make sure that AMCAS knows about my second test and it will show those scores?

2) Are scores from my first test automatically shown?

3) Can I add more schools after submission? no extra cost?

4) Can I submit my application once I make an entry for my LORs?

5) For works/activities, I follow a general pattern for the descriptions. I start of by writing what my position was in that organization, why I joined, what my duties were, and what I accomplished/learned from that experience. Is that too much to put for descriptions? as it stands, my character count ranges from 200 characters to the high of 1300. Average is around 1000 characters. Is this okay?

Thanks very much.

I believe the MCAT section asks for the date of your test(s). You'll put in the June date when you took it. There may also be a box to check along the lines of 'future test'. This sort of thing may have changed slightly since I filled mine out.

Yep.

3) Can I add more schools after submission?

Sure.

no extra cost?

Ha! More like: No, extra cost.

It's probably fine. Say what needs to be said, but try to avoid being unnecessarily verbose. A direct, concise statement is going to keep the Adcoms that have a million files to review happier than 'drawn-out prose fest 2009'. That said, complicated things are going to take longer to explain, so as long as you're not consistently pushing the max, I think you're fine.

Great. Thanks.

Also, for the classes I WILL BE taking in the summer or next semester, what should I put as grades for them?

leave it blank, then check the box at the bottom that says it's a future class. it freaks out, but then it's fine. (according to KMSI, and I believe her.) 😀

I submitted last week, waiting to be verified . . . I don't get any secondaries til I'm verified right?? do they send out secondaries before getting LORS or wait for those too? I get my MCAT score 7/21 so hopefully all my shiz will come together in the next few weeks. . . .
