Leading up to my junior year this fall. I have still yet to take microbio, biochem, ochem, physics and one bio course. Just curious do most dental schools require O chem labs since they are a separate class.

Also Anyone mind, who has already taken these courses, sharing a good schedule to take these courses. I really do not want to make things difficult for myself and take ochem and biochem simuteanously. However If I want to apply before senior year I might have too, but I have been thinking about applying senior year, it seems like the non-trad way is becoming the traditional way lol.So do people typically apply junior year, during senior year, or after senior year? Plus then I have ample time to study for the DAT rather than studying DAT with difficult compact courses during my junior year.
Thank You

Most schools require labs for all pre reqs if they are offered at your school.

For core pre-requisites (general biology/chemistry/organic chemistry), labs are required. For other required classes, the lab may or may not be required depending on the school but you should check school websites to be safe.

You typically apply whenever you are ready. The average age of dental students is not 22 but a couple years higher so many students are somewhat "non-traditional."

Why not take orgo, physics, and bio this coming year and delay microbio and biochem until senior year?

It would be helpful to take orgo before biochem. However, the first semester of orgo and biochem are not bad, so you could take them together if you wanted to. But there's no need to rush.
