Has anyone had a response from FGCU this cycle? I was hoping to get more insight on their interview and response time-line.

I had an interview with them on October 2nd. They sent out invitations to interview on the 2nd, 9th, and 30th. I believe the next round of invitations will go out after the deadline has passed.

How was the interview? Basic questions?

Yeah pretty much. Strengths, weaknesses, why PT, tell me about yourself, why PT over other fields, and then some behavioral questions. Then in a group they give you a situation: what would you do if your power went out? And you answer with a few other students. But it's sort of like speed dating so you'll probably be asked the same question a few times.

I didn’t get one yet, but I spoke with someone on the phone at admissions and she said I should be getting one in the next round so we’ll see lol. Fgcu would be so nice to go to because their tuition is one of the cheapest in FL

Oh you probably just applied later than their first round of interviews! I submitted my application in August.

Hi! So I am also waiting to see if I will get an interview. I'm not sure what to ask if I were to call or if it was appropriate to do so. What did you ask admissions if you don't mind my asking? I submitted my application in November, probably later than most. So I'm not expecting an interview right away. How did your interview end up?

I would definitely try to call and ask about the status of your application and go from there. Melinda will usually pull your application up and let you know if you’re competitive enough to get an interview and what you may need to do in order to get an interview like update grades later this month. The interview went well though! Right now its just a waiting game to hear back so I guess we’ll see. If you have any questions message me!
