I have been fighting a freaking cold ever since I got back to school. Dayquil isnt cuttin anymore so I am having Grandpa M.D. Call me in some Zithromax. I dont know if its all the students and germs or change in envoiornment or what, but every body around me is sicker than a dog.

Scotty, it's running around everywhere. My husband had it for 4 days. I started gettin' it yesterday. My legs had the "heebie-jeebies" for about 3 days, the yesterday I started with the sore nasopharynx, middle of the night it was hamstring cramps, achy joints, and a face full of cement. This morning it's starting down into my chest and I still have a face full of cement.

About half my husband's work has it or had it late last week. It's everywhere i think. good luck, drink lots, get rest.

When i start feeling weird like i'm going to get a cold i take echinacea tablets 3 or 4 the first day. Also i drink tea with lemon, and in addition some of that Theraflu.

Of course, by taking azithromycin you are not helping your cold one bit UNLESS you also have some sort of concomitant bacterial infection like otitis or sinusitis. In fact you are promoting the emergence of resistant bacteria.

At this stage, all you can do is treat symptoms. Try OTC cold tabs, as nothing else has much proven benefit.

Everytime it has worked for me. Within 2 days I'm feeling money. Oh and fluids. 😀 I haven't tried echinechea yet. That is next on my list.

Try Zicam. It shortens the duration. Works for me everytime but the taste is hard to get used to.
