I started out at St. Louis College of Pharmacy and then transferred to a local four year university. I had to retake some classes because of degree requirements and am going to have to retake Gen Chem II because of the grade. When I figure sGPA and cGPA do I include all the classes even the ones that I have taken twice? OR do I only use the highest grade on those certain classes? I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything correctly. Thank you so much!

No matter the grade, if you took the class twice, you use the most recent gpa I believe.

Ok Thank you! That helps bring my cGPA from 3.08 to 3.23 and my sGPA from a 2.68 to 3.00 which really makes me feel better! I still have 5 semesters left and 14 science classes left so hopefully I can pull the both GPAs up a lot.

you have to report both courses with both grades on the application and there is a way to indicate it is a retake but your GPA will only be calculated using the retake.

Thank you! Is there room for an explanation on why you had to or chose to retake the course?
