Filling out grades and course info on AADSAS -- do I need official transcripts?

From what I've gathered, in addition to having to send AADSAS your official transcripts and matching forms there's a section in AADSAS where you are to input all your courses and the grades you recieved. For this process, i've been told I should have copies of my official transcripts reference the course numbers and titles. Could I perhaps get by with unofficial transcripts for this process? If my unofficial transcripts have the grades, the department name an the course number/abbreviation, then is that all I need to properly complete this section of the AADSAS app?

I used my unofficial transcripts without any problems.

For filling out the grades portion of the application you only need an unofficial transcript. However you will need to submit official transcripts through the mail directly to AADSAS.

Also remember to look up the grade conversions if your school is on a quarter system and not semester. If applicable, I would have this done ahead of time. Everything can be found in AADSAS or ADEA website.

I too used my unofficial transcripts for this. They're identical to the official ones, minus layout. On the official ones, they put boxes around certain things, but as far as course titles go, they're the same, spelling abbreviations and all.

Don't we have to wait until the cycle opens up because we need to add the aadsas matching barcode or something on the transcript?
