I've read countless old threads about Step Up 2 Step 2CK and Master the Boards but I was wondering if there was any recent consensus on one being better than the other. I know there's this recent trend of using Step Up because of the latest versions' integration with DIT however Amazon reviews seem to be rather scathing.

Just go for one. Your annotations from UWorld are the deal maker here, and will make everything more or less the same.
Both books will have errata that make you want to throw the book out the window. So did FA for step 1.
People talked **** about FA for step 1 too and said you needed to supplement with Goljan or kaplan, when it wasn't the case.
So basically grab one that appeals to you, read the fuk out of it, then do UWorld. If your score is going up, you're doing well.

I really liked Master the Boards in combination with UWorld for Step 2.
