Hello everyone!

Time for the classic low-GPA, high-MCAT thread! I spent the last year and a half dragging my science GPA kicking and screaming up to a minimally acceptable threshold, and then was very pleasantly surprised with my MCAT results--however, being more imbalanced has required me to shake up my school list right before primaries open.

About me:
  • cGPA: 3.5, sGPA: 3.3, undergrad work at a top LAC with somewhat undeserved reputation for grade deflation, 3.9 DIY post-bac
  • 132/132/132/131 MCAT
  • PA Resident
  • White
  • 50 hours shadowing FM and cardiology
  • 100 hours clinical volunteering
  • 400 hours chemistry research, no papers
  • 100 hours non-clinical volunteering
  • 2000+ non-medical ECs w/ leadership experience
  • 3+ years minimally related work experience, multiple promotions and experience managing younger team members
Finding reasonable fits for the sGPA and MCAT has been a little difficult, but here's what I have now. Would love any suggestions as to whether the reaches are even worth considering:

Any DO school. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide.

Strongly suggest you get in more clinical volunteering or patient contact experience. Your numbers are weak.
