I was hoping to submit early july since I took my DAT on 6/30. But it took me a whole month to do my application since I am such a perfectionist. I did some many drafts of my personal statement and application. Am I really late in the cycle?

Don't worry. Many students apply WAY later in the cycle and still get acceptances so I'm sure you'll be fine.

make sure you do secondary as well! some schools require you to do it right after u submit it.

Good point! And to further prevent delays I would start brainstorming what you'll write on some of those supplemental essays. You can dig up the prompts for many schools from the last cycle and get an idea of what they'll ask. I did that with UF (they asked to write an entirely new personal statement different from the AADSAS statement). I found the essay question from last year's application and already had it written by the time they gave me the supplemental, so I had it submitted within an hour.

I actually think it will take them less then 5 minutes to read it.

Hey, but people spend months or even years to make a movie that will take people 2 hours to watch.
