Finally took DAT today--my stats

I took the DAT today and I have mixed feelings with my results. My GPA is low (overall 3.2, sci 3.1) so I was counting on stellar DAT scores to help boost me up. On the science and reading sections I did better than on practice tests, but my pat score stands out like a nightmare (I choked and didn't manage time well). Well, here's my scores:

Bio 23: had a few weird questions I didn't know to study for but overall ok, like topscore I think
G-chem 23: easier than topscore regarding difficulty of probs and calculations such doing logs and working with exponents
O-chem 20: easier than topscore in my opinion, not as much reactions as I thought which is a good thing for me
RC 27: because I like to read
QR 22: didn't study for math at all except to memorize some formulas the day before exam
PAT 16: lowest I've scored on PAT, topscore I get 18-20
AA 23 overall

My concern now is that my pat scores are low. Along with my low gpa and the fact that I'm applying late (application was sent late Aug but isn't considered complete/ready for review without dat scores), I don't know if my stats will be good enough to get accepted. How much does PAT count anyway? I'm really worried...I applied to the private schools hoping they'll be a little easier to get into. What do you guys think of my gpa/dat scores?

Congrats on having the DAT out of the way....your scores should be fine for most schools. I don't think 16 is that bad for the PAT. Many get 15's or below and still get accepted. I think you have relatively good chances of getting accepted, especially to private schools. Hopefully you will get some interview invites soon. Good luck to you.

i really think that your scores will not be a problem. the only thing that may hurt you is the fact that you have applied this late.

i just spoke with the dean of a school and he told me that they don't fill their classes early anymore. meaning that people could be getting interviews late and getting accepted late. i hope everything works out for ya, but seriosuly i really think that you did well on the DAT.

the dean was from MIN, but i am sure many schools do the same.
they will not fill their classes all in DEC 1st. we all have heard of people getting acceptances very late.
