Hi, I am a sophomore, and I am taking 18 hours this spring. I know its alot, but I took that many hours to help me stay on track for taking the mcat my junior year and to stay with the catalog. I don't want my gpa to suffer anymore. It's a 3.69 gpa, but still I want it to increase. I have been studying diligently, but microbiology has been giving me the most trouble. Now, I need to ace my final exam to get an A in the class. I have old test questions that he reuses and things, but I am unsure how to go over all the information efficiently, so I ace the exam. Also, I need to accomplish an A on my Organic 2 Final Exam as well. I also need to score an A on my final exam in sociology too. I know this sounds like alot, so I would really appreciate the best advice. All my other classes are solid A's. Also, my final for micro is next friday, sociology is monday in two weeks, and organic chemistry II final is wednesday in two weeks. I know I need to study hard. However, is there any advice on studying for all these tests, so I reach the results that I want? I

What's the question here? I know you want the best advice, but on what?
Study hard, get the grades.
It's not 'a lot', it's what people do to get As...they get As on exams. That's college.

Sorry if I am being rude, but...ask a question and you may get an answer. Otherwise

Be smart with your scheduling. Usually 2 major science classes plus 1 or 2 minor classes and getting As in all of them will allow you to maintain a high gpa. Yes, school looks at workload. However, if you can find a way to stay busy (ex. research etc) while taking a full time quarter or semester, you are set.

Just redo the practice micro and get a sense of how he tests for the knowledge. Socio is about connecting ideas so make a summary sheet. Orgo is practice/memorize til you can do synthesis problems that you've never seen before.

I don't know why you "need" an A but the best advice is to not go through the semester so you end up at the point where you need a grade on a final. If you haven't been pulling As or at least close to As on the mid-terms then you shouldn't expect one on the final.

Take all your old exams again as if it was an actual exam, note your weak spots and study those first. Write out concepts, do problems, explain stuff out loud like you are teaching someone else. Reading, re-reading and note taking doesn't do much for most people and aren't efficient.
