Finals vs. Burn Out

This is my least favorite weekend of the semester. This is it. This is the final push. I have nothing left to push with. I have already been accepted to Pharm School and I have a summer ahead of me that consists of nothing but work - no school. It is SO HARD TO STUDY. I swear, I can't sit down with the books for more than 1/2 hour before I have to get up and do something else.

Is anyone else going through this right now? What do you do to keep yourself glued to the books?

I had the same problem, I would try to study but it was like I was justing reading and not absorbing. So my solution was to say "F*** it" and I still got A's in everything.
I would just study at night, like when its dark and enjoy the day so you feel you're not missing out on anything.
Who the hell wants to read books when the birds are chirping and the sun is shining? 🙂

Ever since I opened my acceptance letter, I had no motivation at all. I thought, I've made it in, so why should I try so hard any more? And the f*ck it attitude definitely came on around finals. Somehow, it turned out alright.

I'd love to do the f##k it thing... and in physics II with a current 100.9% cumulative grade, I can.
Calculus, on the other hand, is a different story. This guy is SO unpredictable. The harder I study for his tests, the worse I fail. I feel like I have a thousand pounds on my shoulders right now. I feel like a hamster in that blasted wheel, running and running but never getting anywhere.

I just keep telling myself in 48 hours this will all be over.

ah yes. I drank every night (heavily) during finals and ended up with my 2nd best semester GPA ever. Clearly alcohol solves all. hahahaha

I now have 48 hours left of finals... two more classes- microbiology and biochem. Micro is actually a pre-req for the pharm school I got accepted into, so I know I gotta keep at least a C in that class. But biochem is a non-prereq course. So I guess I don't have to worry abou that too much, if at all? 🙂 I'm glad you're done with everything. Now, it's my turn to be in your place... 48 hours left... and counting down 🙂

I got a 3.88 last semester and a 3.42 this time....if that was directed at me.

man... I wish I had last semester finals to deal with. Bio 2 H and Chem 2 were so easy compared to taking A & P I and Organic I together... sigh - I took my first test today in A & P I, but its not really the class I'm dreading. Our Organic professor came in, opened up with a whole lot of VSEPR. 5 hours later I was numb and couldn't remember my name. That was the first day - since then its been a roller coaster - just when I have his ******ed ass naming down - he launches on a tangent at mach 5. oh... sorry to derail this thread - but I really really really dislike Org I right now...

can I say f*ck it yet??? no... alright - if you insist... 🙁
