I was just curious I know that during post back loans are you only resort. however I would like to know what does the loan cover? does it cover rent utilites and food or do you have to find other financing for these necessities.
I am in the same boat/ have the same question. I am not sure but maybe some sort of private loan can help take care of those types of things. I'm sure someone knows more than I do.

msting22, loans are not your only option. first, there are scholarships out there, you just have to research them thoroughly. second, if you take a full-time job at the university where you are taking your post-bacc courses, you can attend most univerisities and take up to two undergrad courses per semester for free. jobs that provide excellent opportunities for pt exposure while simultaneously looking strong on an amcas application are research jobs -- either bench research or clinical research. if you are highly motivated, grades will not be compromised. consider looking at post-bacc programs at undergrad schools affiliated w/ a school of medicine. just another option to consider. good luck!
the second option is how i got through post-bacc education for free. then of course, you're faced w/ how to pay for med school. lol. i have three words: dual degree scholarship. lol.
