Hi everyone! I'll be applying to various Pre-Dental and/or Pre-Health SMP and Postbacc Programs soon, hoping to matriculate to one in August 2026. I don't personally know anyone that completed any programs similar to this, and so I'd love to hear more about your opinions on these programs, either from people that attended them or applied to them. I'm open to hearing about any and all programs, but would more specifically like to hear about these:
1. Tufts Masters of Biomedical Sciences (MBS)
2. Rutgers Dental Scholars (Biomedical Sciences Masters Program)
3. Boston U Masters of Oral Health Sciences (MS)
4. Penn Masters of Oral Health Sciences (MOHS)
5. Temple Postbacc Program (unsure if I would add on the Masters)
6. Stony Brook Masters of Biomedical Sciences (MS)
7. Uconn Postbacc Program (Postbacc)
8. Pitt BMP (Masters)
9. Case Western Masters in Medical Physiology (MSMP)
10. UNE Online Pre-Health Postbacc (Postbacc)
I'm curious if anyone did these programs or something similar, what were your experiences like? If you are comfortable sharing, what undergrad cGPA and sGPA and DAT got you in? If you got into more than one, which did you choose and why? Did you feel that it helped you get into Dental School and/or prepare you for the transition from Undergrad to Dental School?
For context, I think that some sort of Postbacc program would be a good fit for me because I have a lower GPA, partially due to the fact that I experienced some health issues in college that made it challenging to do well. Going into my senior year this August, I currently have a 3.01 cGPA and 2.82 sGPA (but I hope to improve this) so I want to show Dental Schools I can handle the rigor and I think a Postbacc is a great way to do that!
Thank you for your support 🙂
P. S. I am new to the site so I also posted this on the Pre-Dental Section, sorry if you saw this twice.
