Hey there!

I just applied for the MPH program at USC. Tuition costs are tremendous so I just wondering if anyone who already got accepted into USC's program received any fellowships/scholarships. I'm also applying to U Albany and Drexel. Anyone know if they give out scholarships as well? Thanks!

dont know about USC or U Albany but it seems that Drexel is just handing out those scholarships..I was awarded 8K either per semester or per year, i forget exactly cuz i threw it away, for a merit scholarship and I've read that quite a few others on this forum got merit scholarships as well

Wow, great news on the scholarship! Out of curiosity, when did you turn your application in for Drexel? The rolling admissions seems like a good thing in the long run, but if I want to be considered for a merit scholarship, do you think it's too late if I just sent in the SOPHAS packet this week?

I got a full scholarship from Drexel. It's a young school but it's supposed to be really good. They received my SOPHAS packet at the beginning of November.

drexel awards scholarship on a sliding scale, according to its website. meaning it divides it scholarship funds among its, i want to say top 40%, admitted students. the percent may be wrong. supposedly, the higher ranked students receive more, but i think that they would offer more to students who they think will be more likely to be persuaded into accepting the offer. it's all about marginal benefits.

I applied late in the game to drexel (after feb 1st) and just got my acceptance... with a merit scholarship for $4000.

If it was a full-ride or more $$ I could consider it, but when instate tuition for a UCLA mph is only $9,000/yr... I mean you can only trump that with a completely free ride and maybe a stipend.

I am excited anyway though, acceptances feel good 🙂
