For those who are accepted and ready to start a dental school,

have you filled out your FAFSA yet? I am not sure if I need to do that first or wait for the school to tell me to do that.

I used to fill out FAFSA on the first or second day of January for undergradate. But this time, I am not sure exactly how to do.

I was wondering also... so I googled it, and the website dentalstudentbooks.com, said to apply on FAFSA even if you havent been accepted or even if you don't know where you will attend. Hope this helps

All you need is your dental school code, and I think you can search for it while you're on the FAFSA application. Mine was completed and processed... I don't see why you'd need to wait for their ok

This is very very important. Do NOT submit your FAFSA UNTIL you filed your taxes. That is very important!

Yes, don't do fafsa until you've filed your taxes. Its different from undergrad when you could do it on Jan 1.

Oh crapp!!!!
I submitted my FAFSA last week and I havent filled out my tax yet.
What should I do?

I submitted it because fafsa told me that I can update it once I am done with my tax....

thanks for all the great advice

what if you barely works and make wayyy less than the amount required to file.
Should I still wait till I file my taxes and then fill out FAFSA?
btw, I am considered as independent on FAFSA

My school told me to do it as soon as possible, even if you hadn't filed your taxes yet. As such, that's what I did. You can always go back and edit or change your information once you know the exact numbers (or so I was informed).
