Hello all,

When do financial aid packages usually get sent out by allopathic medical schools to their accepted applicants?

Also, is it worth filling out the more specific forms (eg. CSS or NeedAccess applications) for schools that you have interviewed at but still not heard back from yet? I'm expecting to hear from them in first half of March.

This whole financial aid process is all over the place. With each school having it's own pecularities and specific requests, I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.

My decision on where to matriculate will be heavily influenced by the aid I receive from each school, thus this is very important for me to get this done right. I just hope I'll get all this information with ample time before the May 15th deadline.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Also, how does financial aid work with schools that you are waitlisted at?

Thanks again.

I'm in the same boat. I filled out the fafsa and just marked every school that I interviewed at, as well as the ones I've been accepted to even if I haven't heard from them yet. I'm going to call each school specifically too, to see what the deal is there.

I wonder what people do at places like Colorado that don't give out financial aid info until June. Kind of makes it difficult to chose the one school in May.
