Financial Aid Question- Accepting Loans

I've gotten my award for financial aid for both the fall and the winter/spring semester (direct subsidized and un-subsidized). Anyone know if you have to accept the winter/spring loans at the same time as when you accept fall loans? Or can we accept the winter/spring loans closer to the start of that semester (like sometime in December)?
