So I was accepted into my second choice school and waitlisted at my top choice. I was already awarded my financial aid for this second choice school and now I have to apply for the loan. On the off chance I get accepted into my top choice school, what happens with the financial aid I was awarded for the other school?

BUMP I've got the same question. Not sure if going ahead and completing school B's financial aid processing will in some way bond me to that school and keep me from getting adequate financial aid at my #1 school if they were to accept me off the wait list.

Even if you are awarded money in the financial aid application, no funds are ever dispersed till at the earliest a week after the first class begins. FA disbursement is when things may get complicated if you needed to switch, but by that point you will not be facing this dilemma.
