Now that I've gotten my acceptance, I can't help but think of money! I have debt from two credit cards and one private loan and I don't think I can make enough money to pay them all off before August. I've considered taking a second job, going full time where I work now (I really can't because I'm finishing my last semester full time), and borrowing the full amount I'll be able to get next year in loans to finish off my debts all at once. If I did the loan thing, I'd probably have $2000 left to pay. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

How are you handling your bills? Also, how much money should I save to start school with?

Thanks for your help, I just want to be prepared...

im a third year at ny tech, i have about 1500 in debt right now on my cards. I have to pay 650 dollars a month for my car payment and insurance. I plan on going to mycom in 2 years. When that day comes im gonna take out the maximum amount of money i can borrow which is like 37,500 dollars a year. That way i dont have to work while i am at school. Also these next 2 summers im gonna work my butt off so i can save up like 3 or 4 grand for spending money during that time. relax im sure you can do it

You people can't be serious worrying about that little bit of debt. This should make you feel better.

I am a Junior undergrad this year. I already have $23,000 is Stafford loans out, and my wife has another $10,000. Luckily, our credit card debt is only around $1500, but we are still paying off a car too, although my payment is only $160 on my piece of ****, so with a $650 payment I'll bet your's is pretty nice. All our money from working almost full time all year goes to food, drink, shelter, and medical care costs.

All this on the off chance that I MAY get lucky in this game and interview with the right people, at the right place, during the right time, and be credited for the financial chances I have taken out of dedication and desire to be not only the first college graduate in my family, but the first physician as well. In any case, I have gambled away any chance at financial freedom for the dream of practicing medicine which may or may not come true. Wow, in typing this reply, I just realized what an idiot I am.

Give me a break. Start worrying when you have a real debt problem.
