I've personally never seen it prescribed for a woman. I won't touch it at all at this point either (I'm pregnant).

i have seen it written occasionally by derms for hirsutism but mostly i see spironolactone for this indication

We had one female at my pharmacy - I believe she was taking both finasteride and sprinolactone.
