I'll be starting my residency at NYU 2007...after I''m done I plan on moving out to the West Coast...San Francisco, Bay Area, Irvine, etc...just curious on what the job market is like right now for physiatrist in CA.

How difficult is it to find a job in the West coast if you did not do your residency there?

Anyone with comments?

it certainly would have helped more if you did your residency in the west coast- mainly because you develop contacts during your residency that can lead to jobs or practices.

san fran is pretty saturated. more opp's in la area and definatly more in the central valley.

look into kaiser
