Finding Old Journal Articles

I'm trying to find some pretty old Archives articles dating back to 1985. However, it seems like most online sites only date back to 1995. I tried contacting Elsevier but were unable to help. Any suggestions? The articles in particular that I'm looking for are:

Your info lists you as a resident - if they are not available electronically, you have access to an academic center, I would suggest a trip to the library to make photocopies. If your particular institution doesn't subscribe, they can almost always get them for you through the interlibrary loan system.

I've tried our librarian and he has not been very helpful. He says that he put in the request but that was more than 2 months ago. Any other suggestions?
