So I finally broke down, just out of curiosity - what are my chances?

Will graduate this year with a Biochemistry degree from NC State
Undergrad cGPA: 3.28 (real bad freshman GPA - 2.5 in engineering)
sGPA: 3.56

PharmCAS cGPA: 3.14 (Includes an F in a computer science class that I have grade excluded)
My last two semesters: 3.68, 3.8 respectively
PCAT:
-58 VA
-69 Bio
-84 RC
-91 QA
-99 CH
-93 composite

Extracurriculars/Work:
-TA/tutor for Ochem 1/2
-President Pre-Pharm Club (several volunteer hours through the club)
-Volunteer at inpatient pharmacy over 50 hours
-Multiple shadowing experiences
-UNC LEAD program
-Other non-related work experience that I won't go into detail about

LORs: 1 pharmacist, and 2 professors

Just curious as to where I should be applying...
As of now I am thinking UNC (longshot?), VCU, and Campbell.

Suggestions welcome - preferably from people who have "been there, done that".

@Tinatina7878 yea, honestly I didn't study that much. Maybe an hour or less everyday a month before the test. I HIGHLY recommend taking the Pearson practice PCAT on their website. To me, that was the best indicator (after all, it is their test).

@btbealpharm Thanks my exam is September 4th, and I have been studying since first week of July. I'm gonna take my first Pearson exam soon to see where I am at. Would you say studying the types of questions you got wrong on the Pearson exams was one of the best ways to study/nail the exam? (if that makes sense, just getting nervous 😳)

The best practice is timing yourself and getting used to guessing when you run out of time that way you don't panic on the actual exam. But as far as content, the Pearson exam was most accurate. @Tinatina7878

I applied to VCU and got in (but declined). They seemed to prefer people with a degree. You got one with uptrending GPAs and great PCAT score. One poster I read on SDN here, got in with 2.90's and only 75 on the PCAT. So I think you will have a great chance getting an interview and accepted there at VCU. GL !! 🙂

Thanks for the encouragement! Hopefully I'll get interviewed everywhere but I think it'll be a 50-50 at UNC.

You'll definitely get invited to interview at unc, vcu, and campbell. VCU invites 15% of applicants and 50% of those interviewed are accepted. I'd say you'll be accepted to vcu and campbell. Not sure about unc since I didn't apply there, but I'd say you have a descent shot if you interview well.

Thanks for your advice. May I ask where you applied/ended up going?

Bump... What about OOS? I'm really just concerned about my GPA.

PCAT grading is so weird
You only have 2 sections over a 90 and yet your composite is only a little lower than mine...
Anyway you should be golden for most schools provided you interview well.
