I've decided to pursue a career in medicine. I am a non traditional finance major and I will graduate in two years.
I have two plans and I wanted to know which is better.
Plan A:
Complete all pre-reqs except orgo 2 and physics 2 and take MCAT next year.
(I will review MCAT material for orgo 2 and physics 2)
Plan B:
Complete degree, do a post bacc pre med, take MCAT, then apply.
My cousin is in medical school and he said if I do the post bacc right after undergrad, med schools will look down on that.
I want to add that GPA is not med school competitive right now. I have a 3.1 so I don't know how the grade averaging will affect me.
