  1. Pre-Dental
I will be graduating this summer with a bachelor of computer science. I already took some of the prerequisites (Physics 1, Bio 1, Gen Chem 1,2 and Orgo 1). Is it fine if I register for the Bio major at another community college/ university to finish the rest of prerequisites? Do I need to finish the Bio program or I can drop out when getting accepted to dental school? I plan to apply cycle 2019
FYI I'm F1 student. Thank you very much.

If you can get a dental school to accept you then you only really need to finish the required courses. If your schedule lines up it might only take one semester. Most people take some other courses that they think will be helpful in dental school as well. It looks better for you if you do them at a 4 year college instead of a cc, especially because you'll be taking mostly upper division courses.

So the dental schools dont consider CC credits ? If I take those courses in CC and ace the DAT. Does it help ? Thank you.

It depends on the school. You'd have to check individual requirements to know for sure. Some places won't accept more than a certain percentage of credits from a cc, some won't accept prerequisites from a cc, and some won't accept upper division prereqs from a cc. Other schools don't have an actual policy about it but will see your GPA as padded unless you get great test scores.

There are a few schools that won't take cc credit but also be aware cc don't offer biochem which is needed for a lot of programs so you would have to go back to a university to take that.
