I have never posted here but I wanted to thank everyone for their posts because I found them helpful when I was studying. I took the test this morning.

PAT: 22
QR: 18
RC: 19
Bio: 24
GC: 24
OC: 21
TS: 23
AA: 21

I used Kaplan for their tests (the review had some errors). I know a lot of people on here don't like destroyer, but I found it very helpful to me.

Good luck to all and thank you again.

Great Job!!
Nice to see some high scores!
Hope you get into the school of your choice!

Best,

P.S. I find the 'Destroyer' very helpful also.

Solid scores, especially those sciences. Can you give us anymore info about how you stduied besides the Kaplan and the Destroyer.
good luck with the application process

how are the science questions(especially Biology) compare to Destroyer and Kaplan? Also, how was the Reading Comprehension compare to Kaplan?
Please help. Thank you.

As far as studying goes I tried to spend an hour or so every day since the semester began. It wasn't extremely regimented though, I'm taking pchem so I'm pretty busy.

I did pretty much read Campbell and Reece Biology (sixth edition) all the way through. Minus some of the taxonomy/ecology stuff. I found Martini's Anatomy & physiology to be helpful. . My biology background is pretty sparse. On practice tests I was getting relatively low bio scores, so maybe I got lucky.

As you can tell the reading comprehension was something I didn't really study and it hurt me in the end. I imagine Kaplan's questions are fairly close to the actual.

That is all I did besides destroyer. Taking practice tests helps with timing a lot. I go to UNC Asheville and we have a really good chemistry department so the Gen Chem section was a breeze.

Is campbell bio any different from like a General bio textbook, I am using the regular textbook also, is it the same or campbel has more detail?

haha, I'm surprised that the textbook you have ISN'T campbells. They pretty much have a monopoly on textbooks....at least in my area. It's a good book though, pick it up at a used bookstore for cheap.

Hey Janix,

awesome job -- i would be so happy with those scores. what was hard about the reading, the question specificity or having enough time?

and what are the TS and AA sections?

What did you use to study for the PAT?
Do you know where your applying to?

CONGRATS!

TS = Total Science
AA = Academic Average (everything minus PAT)
