Yay! I passed my practicals! Next step is the NREMT-B exam.

This has been a gruelling six months or so - I initially failed four of my practicals, so I had to retake them. They let me have about 16 hours of tutoring, then I got to retake. And this time, I passed! Woot!!!!!!! 😀 😀

Good Job!!! Good luck on your written.

Good job thirdunity!

How do you feel about the NR exam?

I was suprised that it was much easier than people had led me to believe...

Airway, Call med dir, make up about two thirds of the answers if I remember right....

One thing that threw me though....there were many questions reguarding ventilation that would ask something like:
"in (given situation) which would be most appropriate?"
Bag valve mask
FROPVD
face shield
mouth to mask

It seems like maybe 6 questions where I had to choose between FROPVD or bag valve mask. I always answered BV as we don't use FROPVD out west...I don't know if I got them right or wrong of course, but maybe you could ask your instructor....

Good luck! :luck:

the best way to help in ventilations is the one man mouth to mask is what I was taught..as for the FROPVD...we never use that on the east coast

I'm still in training, but i know that the text I read said a certain organization said there was an order of preference for the treatments above. All I know is they tell us to answer test questions based on the book but it doesn't always work like that in the field.
